Project Complete! – Apron Display

Hey, a project that didn’t take me four months to do!

vintage aprons hanging from hook, with brown cat drawing in green starburst above

The cat itself is taken from one of my vintage aprons (background added in Photoshop). I got the frame in an antique store, but it’s not even vintage! It’s from Target! Which I didn’t realize until I got it home.

Both hooks are put up with Command Strips. I’m hoping the one holding the frame stays – I tried to nail it in, but my oven vent or something else metal is behind it. It bent the nail when I tried to hammer it in.

Better view of the cat

So, y’all want to see the aprons better, right? Of course you do.

Despite appearances, the only sewn details are the white dots in the cat eyes. Everything else is printed.

Detail of the brown apron. There alternating cats, one with a bowtie around its neck, one with a bow on its ear.

Teal apron with white and teal checked panels on the dressmakers dummy. The scarf is moved to the side to show the waist comes to an upward point.
I think this one is super cute, with that great pointed waistband.

Detail of the teal apron. The opening of the pocket is edged with white rickrack and the edges of the check pattern has flowers.
I love that checked fabric.

This is the first apron I got.

Not vintage, but cute. It's actually a very light pink background behind the roses.
